I am proud of how I’ve worked my way up to a Supervisor position.“Through it all, I’ve worked a late-night shift. The night shift has always worked for me, fitting in with my children’s schedule, preparing meals and running errands. The only downside has been sometimes sacrificing sleep. But my body has gotten used to it.“My day begins even before I get to work, with a check of emails. In fact, the phone rarely leaves my hand throughout the day because I constantly need to check work updates.“Looking back over the 30 years, everything is still fresh – beginning to end. I’ve been fortunate to have had fabulous mentors“I tell my direct reports that it’s not just paper or a tube that you’re working with. It’s patients’ lives that you are handling. It might be a mother, brother or sister. Put yourself in the position that your specimen is going to Quest.“Each day I’ve always felt like I’ve done something good.
