Quest Recognized on Disability Equality Index

Quest Recognized on Disability Equality Index

We are proud that Quest Diagnostics has been listed on the Disability Equality Index® (DEI), a joint initiative of the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) and the US Business Leadership Network (USBLN), recognizing companies for prioritizing the inclusion of people with disabilities.

"Inclusion is integral to everything we do at Quest Diagnostics,” says Cecilia McKenney is Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer. “As an employer of more than 45,000 people across the United States, we are committed to employing a diverse workforce of varied abilities. The combination of different experiences of each of our employees is part of what makes us stronger as a company.”Quest received a score of 90% on the DEI scale of 0 to 100, and being among top scorers is among the companies recognized as one of the “Best Places to Work for Disability Inclusion." One of Quest’s key hiring initiatives includes partnering with organizations such as ADVICE, a program affiliated with Autism Speaks, and NEXT for AUTISM, to hire individuals on the autism spectrum and those with similar disabilities. We have expanded this partnership in our Atlanta, Lenexa, Kansas, and Teterboro, New Jersey, locations to support the hiring of laboratory professionals.“The commitment to disability inclusion is becoming a priority for more and more corporations,” said Helena Berger, President and CEO of AAPD. "While we have made great strides since the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act, the number of disabled individuals getting hired has not significantly increased. The DEI was created to help advance employment opportunities and outcomes for people with disabilities."To find out more about the Disability Equality Index, visit disabilityequalityindex.org.
