RNA sequencing (RNA-seq)
RNA-seq, sequencing of expressed messenger RNA (mRNA), allows characterization of gene transcription with a breadth and specificity unavailable with traditional microarrays. Gene expression is more amenable to capturing biological changes since it can measure changes in the genome at the nucleotide level and changes in mRNA abundance or processing. This dataset is rich for monitoring changes over time, deriving novel mechanistic insights, and translating information into action.

Whole genome sequencing (WGS)
