Quest Mobile is available for many (but not all) tests and screenings in certain zip codes. When scheduling an appointment online, use your zip code (not city name) for best results. After entering your zip code, a Quest Mobile option will appear if it's available. 

Patients are required to enter a credit card for the $79 in-home collection fee at the time of scheduling. While the sample collection will not be billed to your health plan, the laboratory tests performed will be billed as a healthcare claim to your health insurance company under the terms of existing contractual agreements and in accordance with Quest Diagnostics usual procedures.

Your mobile phlebotomist will collect your insurance information for your lab testing. Billing for lab testing is separate from the mobile sample collection fee required when scheduling your in-home appointment.

A $79 fee applies for the in-home sample collection and sending the samples to a Quest Diagnostics laboratory.

You may use any major credit card to securely submit payment for the collection service fee at the time of scheduling.

Your doctor will submit your lab order requisition to Quest Diagnostics, or you can upload your lab order during the in-home collection scheduling process.

If you do not have a copy of your lab order requisition, please enter your healthcare provider's name and phone number, and Quest Mobile will request your lab order. Quest is not able to provide copies of lab orders to patients at this time.

You may reschedule your order up to 24 hours in advance of your scheduled sample collection. Appointment changes made fewer than 24 hours before the scheduled collection will be charged the full collection fee.

There is a non-refundable cancellation fee of $10, which includes Quest Mobile administrative fees. In some states, applicable taxes are nonrefundable as well.

If you do not complete your in-home visit within 60 days of your purchase, your purchase will expire and you will be charged the full collection fee.

To make any changes to your appointment, please call us at 1.855.392.6361, between 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST Monday – Friday.

If you work in certain zip codes and the sample collection for your test is eligible, you might be able to set up an appointment to have a phlebotomist come to your place of business to collect the sample. A Quest Mobile phlebotomist will draw your labs and deliver them to the closest Quest Diagnostics location. 

All patients may choose to have their samples collected at a Quest Diagnostics Patient Service Center. To schedule an in-center sample collection, visit appointment.questdiagnostics.com

A mobile sample collection typically takes under 20 minutes depending on how many tests were ordered. 

Please contact your doctor to determine the requirements for your specific testing. If fasting is necessary for your test, don't eat or drink anything but water for 9-12 hours before your appointment. It's okay to drink water and take your medications.

Our emails and texts contain limited personal information. Please keep in mind that such communications cannot be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

While we attempt to send emails securely, they may not remain encrypted during transmission. There is a risk that electronic communications, including emails and texts, could be intercepted or viewed by a third party. Once received by you, anyone with access to your email account or device can see your emails or texts. By choosing to receive electronic communications from Quest Diagnostics, you acknowledge and accept these risks.

Results will be available in your MyQuest account as tests are completed. Most test results are available within 2-5 days of collection. Yet some complex testing can take 14 days or more. Quest sends completed test results directly to the ordering doctor for review. 

Quest Mobile professionals are aware of the tests performed; however, they are not qualified to discuss testing reasons nor do they get results.

You can access lab results through MyQuest, Quest’s free and secure online health tool that delivers easy-to-understand lab results directly to you. If you don’t already have a MyQuest account, you can sign up now for free at MyQuestResults.com

While MyQuest will guide you through your lab results, it’s important to discuss them with your doctor. Together, you can decide what’s best for your health.

Quest Mobile is available for those age 12 and older.

Important billing information
When scheduling a Quest Mobile™ appointment, you are scheduling a mobile sample collection with Quest Mobile for your convenience through a partner brand that does not participate with health insurance. Quest Mobile is a separate services division from Quest Diagnostics Incorporated.
Patients are required to enter a credit card for the $79 in-home collection fee at the time of scheduling.
Please note that in-home sample collection by Quest Mobile is not covered by health insurance and will not be submitted to your health plan. Quest Mobile does not participate with or bill Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial Insurance billing.
While the in-home sample collection will not be billed to your health plan, the laboratory tests performed by Quest Diagnostics will be billed as a healthcare claim to your health plan under the terms of the existing contractual agreements and in accordance with the Quest Diagnostics usual procedures.
