Self-collection: convenient biometric screenings

Quest Activate provides a fully remote screening experience to help identify unknown health risks and connect to care

Quest Activate, the enhanced self-collection process from Quest Diagnostics, allows individuals to easily complete a self-collection for a biometric screening.1 With the Quest Activate solution, individuals no longer have to complete paper requisitions. Each participant simply activates their materials online, creating a better user experience and more seamless data management.

Additionally, new screening packages are available for the Quest Activate solution that allow employers to offer biometric measuring devices to encourage participants to measure their blood pressure and waist circumference at the time of self-collection. With Activate, there are 3 panel options to choose from: a lipid and glucose panel for a basic health screening; a cholesterol panel for insight into heart disease; or a comprehensive panel for optimal health risk identification.

1. Dried Blood Spot (DBS) tests have been validated for general health screening purposes only. The result from a DBS specimen is an estimation of the result that an individual would have received from a blood specimen drawn from the arm. A DBS result can be affected by how the sample is collected, stored, and transported. All Quest DBS tests were developed and their analytical performance characteristics have been determined by Quest Diagnostics. They have not been cleared or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. This testing has been validated pursuant to the CLIA regulations. DBS testing should not be used for diagnosis or to make clinical decisions without confirmation by other medically established means.
